In Memoriam

Lanie Zipoy, a Memphis born New York director and producer, was taken from this world too soon. She suffered a terrible car accident and passed on Saturday, June 25th. Her first feature film THE SUBJECT (2020) has just entered the festival circuit. She was an intrepid soul and creative spirit. In LPTW's 30 year anniversary she was part of the Blog30 team, which featured interviews with many League members, including her own, which you can read here.

Susan Wallack, actor and longtime LPTW member, passed away after a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer. Her three decade career included collaborations with LPTW members and supporting our work.
Susan was featured in the LPTW 30th anniversary members blog which highlights her career and personal life.

Marshaline Letcher was a playwright and actress, member of the Playwrights Center, LPTW, and The Dramatists Guild of America. Her plays include: Ain’t That A Bitch, Bankrupt, Blood Pressure, The Green Duck, Harriet Tubman Meets Miss Booty Wrap, I Integrated A Lunch Counter, Marcella's Song, Pap Smear, The Secret, The Seventy Year Old Bride, Smooth, Strike, Those Old Men, Ticket To America, and Train.
